At Searchfirst, our aim is to give you access to all sorts of useful and important information that you may never have thought was so easy or affordable to obtain.

If you need information but not necessarily advice, why pay a solicitor or other professional hundreds of dollars when you can order an identical search at wholesale rates?

With more than 20 years legal searching experience, we know information is everything and how to go about finding it for you and delivering it to you without the expensive overheads.

We've strived to make our site simple, clear and easy-to-use, with easy ordering and fast response times.

We're confident you'll not find a more friendly way to find the information you're looking for.

I've placed an order. What happens next?
Orders are generally processed within 4 hours during normal searching hours (Mon-Fri 1000 - 1600 hours EST) from when we receive your payment confirmation.

Orders placed after 4.00pm Mon-Fri will be processed the next working day.

All results are supplied digitally and are emailed back to you in PDF format.

If you haven't received your receipt and/or results within one business day, please check your spam/junk mail filter to make sure it's not in there.

Sometimes the databases are not available and results may not be available to us within usual turn-around times. Rest assured, we'll complete your order as soon as they're available. If we are unable to process your oder or experience any delays, we'll be in touch.

If you haven't received your results with one business day, please contact us and let us know so we can follow it up.

Business hours for searching are Mon - Fri 10.00am to 4.00pm AEST.

Turnaround Times
Specific turnaround times are listed with each product.

Generally, you can expect most search results back in your inbox within four business hours after receipt of your order, and as soon as is possible the next working day if placed after-hours.

Some information databases are available outside of business hours, and if we can, we'll complete your search request outside of normal hours.

Turnaround times should be used as a guide only, as search availability is subject to supplier databases and other external factors. You should contact us if you have not received an email order confirmation or your search results within one business day.
Order Cancellation
If we have not yet processed your order, we will happily refund your payment.

Order Invoice Lookup
You can lookup your order and retrieve a copy of your invoice via the button below.


The search results are emailed back to you from our Xero accounting system, as an attachment to an invoice.

If you can't locate your search, you can perform a search of your email accounts for "Xero" and "Searchfirst" for the original email with the search attachment.
Refund Policy
Please contact us before you place an order if you have an enquiries or do not understand any of this policy.

In general, there are two circumstances where incorrect search results may be returned to you:

A) We have provided the incorrect information

If WE have provided the wrong information, you will offered a replacement search or full refund at no additional cost, on a like-for-like basis.

B) You have ordered the incorrect information

If YOU have ordered the wrong information and we have successfully returned a result that matched what you ordered, no refund or replacement will be applicable in this circumstance.

Examples:

For example, if you order a title search on 1 Example Street, Anytown, and we provided 11 Example Street, Anytown (the results returned being a clearly different subject to what was ordered), we will forward you a new search over the correct subject as initially ordered at no additional cost.

If you order a title search on 1 Example Street, Anytown, but you meant to order 11 Example Street, Anytown, and we return a result on 1 Example Street, Anytown because that property actually existed and returned a valid search result, then you will need to re-order with the correct details at your own cost.

Where we have returned valid results that matched your order, no refund will be available.

If we detect any contentious or ambiguous results before we process your order, we will contact you for further instructions, before we incur any third party provider fees.

If we are unable to provide your search, we will advise you and refund your payment.
